How Should God’s People Live Each Day?
They Should Live Like Jesus...
by learning God’s Word and obeying it!
Jesus knew God’s Word very, very well, even when He was just a boy. It was very important that Jesus knew God’s Word so well. He had to obey every single bit of God’s Word, all the time, to be our Savior. He would need to God’s Word to fi ght temptation and comfort Him in hard and sad times. God’s people need to know God’s Word well, too. They need it to tell them how to live lives that please God. They need it to fi ght off temptation to disobey God. They need it to comfort them in hard and sad times. God promises that the Holy Spirit will work in the hearts of His people as they know and think about His Word. He will help them to live for God as God’s Word tells them to.
Scripture Verse: Psalm 119:11
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
Sometimes when we have something very special, we hide it in a special place to have it ready for us when we need it. God’s people learn God’s Word and keep it in their hearts. Why? So it will be ready to use to help them live for Him. God’s people know that God’s Word is very powerful. It can help them say ‘no’ to sin. It can help them know how to love God and love others.
